Scotland June 2013

Scotland has always been a great attraction to me mainly for its scenery which reminds me a lot of the Natal midlands and the Drakensberg mountain range that I know reasonably well have hiked there on several occasions. In these pages when I say I am walking it actually means staggering forward and this is fully explained in the short book I am busy with

My friend and I took a 724 Greenline bus to Heathrow where we flew with Virgin Atlantic utilizing my air miles and only having to pay for taxes to Edinburgh where I hired a car

The last time I drove a car was in 2008 so it took me a while to get used to driving again and as expected I did make a few mistakes but I give thanks to God I had not forgotten this skill

a short distance from the airport near the little village of Mid Calger we checked into a Farmstay Bed and Breakfast named Redcraig

Time to relax
and take in the view before enjoying a week exploring
Pentland Hills Loch Katrine and the Sir Walter Scott steam ship
Falkirk wheel and Wallace monument Selmmuir fishery
Mid Calger and Aberlady Edinburgh
